ABOUT ME
Hello my name is Erik R. Fernandez,
I was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, California since 1995.
Before moving to the Bay Area, I was a sophomore at Moorpark College, who was playing on MC men's soccer team, a full-time student, coaching men's soccer at Oak Park High School, training with a semi-professional soccer team, and serving tables at our local Mimi's Cafe.
After I obtained my AA at Moorpark College, I transferred to San Francisco State University as an incoming Marketing major.
During my undergraduate program I decided to study abroad at Swansea University in Wales. While I studied at Swansea University, I played soccer with the college team as well as a professional soccer club in London, England. Swansea University allowed me to integrate myself into a different cultural society. I believe this experience has had a tremendous impact on my career growth and personal growth.
In my senior year at SFSU, I founded and developed a performance tracking athletic apparel product starting from ideation all the way to a comprehensive prototype with a business model to back the brand's strategic plan. This product was presented at an annual SFSU Entrepreneurial Symposium and Innovation Pitch competition and placed 2nd overall.
I graduated Class of 2019 from San Francisco State University completing a Bachelor in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration.
I am currently a Digital Marketing Captain at COOP, a non-profit organization while working at Cruise Automation as an Autonomous Vehicle Test Specialist. In addition, I am a Project Team Lead organized through the Google OMC program.
